Bill joy the vice president of sun microsystem ,was thought tobe the main person to conceive the idea of programming language that later became java in late 1970  bill joy wanted to design a language that could contain the best features of language like mesa and c.he found that c++ was inefficient for rewirting unix operating system in 1991.when strated a project this name was streath  project.this name was given by scott mcnealy sun president .

Formed team this project was bill joy ,james gosling ,mike sheradin ,padrick naughton.

Strealth project was all about developed consumer electroic devices that could all be centorlly controled and programmned from a handheld remote control like devices.

The idea of naminng the language oak struck gosling while staring at an oak tree outside his office window unfortunately this name had already patented in programming language .the name dropped .

After so many brainstoriming session ,one day finally a thout struck their mind during a trip to the local coffee shop as recalled by goslinng .the term java usa is generelly a slang used in coffee .java is also toward the naming convention used for naming the language as java.

One of it speculate that the name java came from servel individual involved in the project:james gosling ,arthur van goff ,andy bechtolsheim.
